In a paste studios live performace, Des says h bought this guitar when a fan asked him to play one of his songs called "Dead Ringer" which required an acoustic guitar but Des at the time did not own one, so he went to a local shop and bought this guitar which he refers to as a 'toy' guitar. He painted the headstock black and added a stencil of his face on it to quote "Give it a little Juju"
