E.M. Hudson's Amplifiers

E.M. Hudson's primary amplifier for many years has been the 1968 Fender Bassman, which he acquired on the same day as the '72 Deluxe reissue for $700. During a Rig Rundown with Premier Guitar, Hudson mentioned that his silver-panel Bassman might contain the components of a black-panel model. This is due to it being from Fender's transition era when early silver-panel amps were only cosmetically different from their predecessors. He noted the presence of black lines enclosing the name "Bassman" on the amp's face as an indicator of this possibility.
