George Harrison's Bass Guitars
George Harrison can be seen playing the Fender Bass VI most clearly at 5:50 in this TV performance of "Hey Jude."
Harrison can be seen in this photo with a Burns Nu-Sonic Bass.
Harrison can be seen in this photo playing a Fender Jazz Bass.
in this rare photo, Harrison is seen messing around on an early natural finish Gibson EB-2 hollowbody bass. it most likely wasn't used on any recordings and just to test out. there are also photos of Paul McCartney messing around on the same bass as well.
George can be seen using a 60s Sunburst P Bass while recording Doris Troy's "Ain't That Cute" at Olympic Studios in February 1970. It's unknown if this belonged to Stephan Still whom was present at the session or if George had purchased the bass prior. This is the only time he is seen with a P Bass as the only other Fender basses Harrison was known to play were a Jazz Bass and Bass VI.
