Jay Bentley's Bass Guitars
Jay Bentley uses Epiphone Jack Casady bass. He modded it to have a P bass pickup set
In a Premier Guitar "Rig Rundown" video, Jay Bentley discusses his use of Schecter basses, specifically mentioning the Schecter Jay Bentley Precision Bass. He recalls that these basses were so heavy they caused him back pain, leading fellow Bad Religion member Brian Baker to jokingly gift him an Epiphone Jack Casady bass. Despite the jest, Jay switched from the Schecter to the Jack Casady bass out of spite.
Jay has a backup p bass in his live rig. He states that it is a combination of a Fender and a Schecter. The body is Fender fender American Vintage 63 p bass, but with a Schecter neck. The Schecter neck came from a bass he bought online from a seller in Texas. He put the Schecter neck on the bass because he liked the body but the neck on the 60s American vIntage series where too wide for his liking. He also added a badass bridge on the bass. Jay is unsure wether it is a true Badass bridge because he bought it online
Jay Bentley used this bass. It appears that he modified it by removing the bridge pickup.

In a Premier Guitar "Rig Rundown" video, Jay Bentley mentioned that he used to play a 1980s Schecter P-4 Bass. The bass was notably heavy, causing him frequent back pain. This led bandmate Brian Baker to buy him a Jack Casady bass, which Jay played partly to tease Brian about the situation.
