Johnny Winter's Amplifiers
In this "Rig Rundown" with Premier Guitar, at 4:46 Johnny says "...I was using Fender Twins before that, but I liked the Music Man better, so I bought a couple of them. I've been using this one since about 77' or 78'."
In the accompanying article "Premier" writes, "Winter uses a Music Man 410 120-watt combo, which has been his amp of choice since the late '70s. He sets it with the bass and mids dialed completely out so it's all treble. The Boss CE-2 Chorus is kept on all night to add depth to his tone.
at 4.45 he states that he previously used Fender Twins before he used the Music Man 410.
In his rig rundown with Premier Guitar, Johnny Winter mentioned that before he got his Music Man 410, his main amps were Silverface (1968-1976) Fender Twin Reverbs through Silverface Dual Showman 2x15 cabinets, with the volume cranked all the way up to 10, treble all the way up, and mids and bass all the way off.
