In this vido Matt talks about his signature pearl snare. The snare is a brass drum, Matt states he seems to keep going back to brass drums. It seems to give him the tone he needs. Matt wanted something that was very responsive, and could cut through heavy guitars of his band Periphery. The snare comes with a Evans heavyweight dry. This is a head Matt helped design with Evans. Matt likes the dry heads because as opposed to the regular Heavyweight he used previously, He didn't need as much muffling
