Michael John Scheuchzer's Guitars
Michael Scheuchzer & Barry Graul of MercyMe were featured in McPherson Guitars' December 2010 artist of the month interview. Both men have been seen playing these the McPherson MG 3.5 model.
Michael Scheuchzer, guitarist of MercyMe, is seen jamming the title track of the band's 2014 album, "Welcome To The New", on a televised appearance. He chose to play an Eastwood Guitars Airline Twin Tone which was modified to feature a Hipshot Baby Grand Guitar Bridge and a single color pick guard.
Michael Scheuchzer, guitarist of MercyMe, is seen jamming the title track of the band's 2014 album, "Welcome To The New", on a televised appearance. What was once mistaken as an Eastwood Guitars Airline Twin Tone which was modified to feature a Hipshot Baby Grand Guitar Bridge and a single color pick guard, was actually a Supro Dual-Tone Electric Guitar. This guitar was built by luthier John Bolin at a time when the company was owned by Zinky.
Mike actually saw this submission and put his own stamp on this mistake. Thank you Mike!

"It’s actually a Supro Dual Tone from the short lived Zinky owned years. Fantastic guitar!
The luthier was John Bolin of Bolin Guitars. Has ALL the vintage vibes!!!
That’s not to say I wouldn’t gladly play an Eastwood ;) Used an Eastwood Baritone in studio"
Posted by Scheuchzer on his Instagram photo, the 1971 Gibson ES-335 was mentioned as having, "new life" brought into it by the pickups being swapped out with PorterTron (Filter Sized) Humbuckers. Notably, this guitar also has a kill-switch installed on the bottom fin.
Michael Scheuchzer recently reached out EquipBoard.com staff through Twitter to help improve his board. Among fixing the brand of a mismarked guitar, he also added that he played an Eastwood Baritone in the recording studio. The posts were as follows.
