Mike Kerr's Amplifiers
"Sorry, man. The amps I use are all Ampegs. I use an SVT bass amp and two GVT guitar amps. I just found that they aren't making the GVTs anymore, so if you know anyone who's got some, let me know – I need some spares."
This was taken from an interview with Mike Kerr by Music Radar. Also, in the image below, two GVT amplifiers are seen connected to Mike's bass.
The Fender Supersonic 22 Combo is shown on Fender's official artist page for Royal Blood, Mike Kerr's band.
Dawsons, a music store from the UK, posts an article on the Equipment of Royal Blood. They write "Speaking of amps, Mike feeds his bass into a number of guitar amps, namely a Fender Supersonic and a Bassman. The Supersonic is an interesting amp, with enough gain available on tap to serve up the thick, goopy levels of grit and dirtiness, yet can also deliver Fender’s traditional sparkling cleans if required."
The Sansamp is being used to shape one of the fake guitars signals as seen being adjusted just before the band play 'Better Strangers'.
In a photo from Daringartists, Mike Kerr is shown using a compact version of his setup, which includes the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 112 Enclosure.
At 36:55 in this video of Royal Blood at the Life Is Beautiful Festival, you can clearly see that Mike has added a Fender Bassbreaker to his rig.

You can check out Mike Kerr's official artist page on the Fender website, with this photo containing his Fender Super Bassman Pro.
At 0:43, the video pans to a shot of the Fender amps Mike now uses. But you'll also notice there are two Sansamp RBI's in the rack system. Even with the quality of the video, you can tell its a RBI rather than a RPM (the third control knob is a blend control whereas its a mid shift on the RPM, which would be a lot more writing on that part of the amp!). I'd imagine this is used to help shape the bass tone for DI purposes.
We can see at 2:58 a 4x10 ashdown bass cab
On this page of Fender's website, it lists the Bassman 810 Pro among the gear that Mike Kerr of Royal Blood uses.
At 1:46 you can see on the right hand side that Mike now uses 4 Kemper Profiler Rack
In this YouTube video, consisting of Instagram reels taken from the recording period of the album Typhoons, between 5:22 - 5:31, an Epiphone Studio 10s can be seen in the background behind Mike Kerr. In an interview with Total Guitar in July 2021, Mike Kerr describes using using a cheap amp to record tracks from Typhoons in November.
"I actually bought an amp off eBay for £30 but I’m not going to say what it is... I don’t want everyone to go out and buy them, because I might want spares! But there’s loads of them left. And it sounded magical. I did all the guitar stuff using that one amp, and I only had one of them, so any double-tracking was actually re-amped through that, to achieve the second layer."
