Mike Wead's Gear
From All That Shreds Magazine (Mike Wead uses the same live setup as Andy LaRocque).
"For other equipment I’m using Marshall Cabinets, and Line 6 POD HD Pro X, rack mounted with a Line 6 pedal board and I’m using two power amps with that and two Marshall Cabinets live and that’s actually the same for the other guitarist in the band Mike Wead, he’s using the same set up, and it’s very versatile because I mean you get a really nice tone and people are really surprised when I say I’m using that because they think, “oh really that sounds that good” because you pretty much can get any tone you want from it, we got a few presets with clean sound, solo sound, and rhythm sound and it’s so easy to work with and just an Ethernet cord between the unit itself and the floorboard and you have all your presets right there on the floor you know so I’m thrilled with that. Very easy set up indeed." Andy LaRocque

"The most recent addition to my guitar family. ESP E-II M-1. I really like the stripped down style. A mean and lean metal machine."

"Greetings fellow guitar nerds, If you haven’t already tried this awesome plugin by Fortin and Neural DSP do yourself a favor and download the trial version right now. I’ve tried many many sims over the years and I can honestly say that you’ll be struggling to find another amp sim that offers more realism, playability and metal than the Fortin Nameless Suit. If you already own it or have tried it pls let me know what you think ????

"Greetings fellow guitar nerds,
Recently I’ve had the joy of trying out the new amp sim from NeuralDSP - The Archetype Plini.
It took me around 30 seconds to set up an amazing lead tone. Very inspiring and useful.
Download the two week free trial and give it a go!
