Bockrath prefers this model for its smaller size compared to typical Gretsch guitars and its inclusion of a Bigsby vibrato, which he favors.

In the Guitar Center Sessions on DIRECTV, Nick Bockrath of Cage The Elephant is shown using the Schecter Ultra-III electric guitar during a TV performance. Although he appreciates the instrument, it primarily serves as a backup due to its sound not being the perfect fit for most of their live set. However, it may be ideal for future projects.
