Paul D'Amour is confirmed to use the Mesa/Boogie High Gain Amplifier Switch, as evidenced by an image showing his equipment setup from the period around 1993-1994. The image also shows that he used this switch alongside two Mesa Bass 400+ amplifiers.

In a live performance by Tool at The Warfield Theatre in San Francisco on November 11, 1994, bassist Paul D'Amour is observed using the Voodoo Lab GCX Guitar Audio Switcher to activate various pedals and rack effects in his setup. It's not yet confirmed what pedals are in his rack but a distinct use of a phaser is used during the quieter section of the song "Pushit".
