Phil "Fang" Volk

In this performance of Get It On, Fang is seen performing with a Fender Jazz Bass finished in Olympic White. The bass is placed as a backup for Fang during performances and has the signature FANG logo at the back. Fang would continue to use this Jazz Bass during and after The Raiders and during his reunion performances, he would be seen with the Jazz Bass with the pickup cover removed, but the bridge cover remained.

During The Raider's peak in the music industry, they incorporate a specific formula in creating their music. One distinct aspect of their music is their driving basslines, played and performed by Phil "Fang" Volk. Fang used a Vox Phantom bass in recording these basslines, in which some of them had a fuzzy tone to them, which may be an option in the Vox Phantom series.
