Sean Beasley's Gear
Sean Beasley can be seen using this bass since around the Reign Supreme album. It’s been his main work horse for quite a few years. I can’t tell, but there is a good chance that the stock ESP pickups were replaced with actual EMG. I am only speculating since the tone he gets is much better than what normally would be heard from stock pickups.
It is well documented that Sean uses Ampeg Bass amps, this is not the only model he has used but in this live video and several others it can be seen in the rack behind him.
When Sean first joined dying fetus he was seen playing this bass for most of the shows. The one he plays is easy to spot by the tribal style inlays across the fretboard which I believe to be a limited addition version. It can be seen in the video for Homicidal Retribution and many live shows around this time. If you do a quick google search there is a dozen pictures with him holding this bass.
It is very difficult to tell which microphone is being used due to no video or picture having a clear close up on the tag, but in the music video for "Wrong One To Fuck With" by pausing during the close ups of Sean I could see the Sennheiser logo. I'm guessing it is the e 935 due to the price, availability, popularity, and that it looks the same.
Sean can be seen using this amp for the Milkboy Sessions. He usually uses Ampeg amps but I think he was using whatever was available in studio, so don't expect to see this in any live videos.
Sean is listed as an endorsee on the Kiesel website and has been seen using two different colors of the Kiesel Icon bass. Sean usually only has 1 main bass at a time, I believe the Natural ESP is still his main work horse but he might be switching to Kiesel exclusively now. In the Milkboy sessions he can be seen recording with a natural color Icon and during the video of them in concert he is seen using a Black/grey burst colored Icon.
In the live performance of "Grotesque Impalement" at the Summer Breeze Open Air 2016, Sean Beasley of Dying Fetus uses an Ampeg SVT-810E 8x10 Bass Cabinet, as seen in the video.
Sean has used many types of Ampeg amps, this show he has a SVT-CL Classic sitting on top of another amp and an Ampeg 8x10.
