Shawn "Clown" Crahan's Drum Sets
Shawn "Clown" Crahan uses a Custom Shawn "Clown" Crahan Kit, crafted from Dunnett Classic Drums. The kit includes two rack toms (12"x8" and 13"x9") and two floor toms (14"x14" and 16"x16"). This setup is documented by Slipknot-metal, as detailed by the ToTheMoonTeam.
It says in this interview with Shawn: I’ve had a lot of Maggots come up to me and say they can’t figure out how to duplicate my keg tone, so let me let you in on a little secret: you can’t just hit any keg with any baseball bat and expect it to sound like the culture-changing event that is Slipknot. I exclusively use Geemacher 1/2 kegs. They’re stainless steel, which helps lend to that metallic sound when you hit it.
Shawn "Clown" Crahan used the Pearl FFX CarbonCore Snare during Slipknot's performance in Auckland, as detailed in a review on Stuff.co.nz.
