He states that after his video about the Hi-Flyer Phase 4 MT from the same company, Eastwood contacted him and asked if there were any other instruments from their catalogue that he would like. Since he didn't have a fretless bass, Steve picked out the EUB-1, and the rest is history.

Shown at 14:57. Steve, likely to his surprise, has gotten quite a bit of use out of this instrument. Bought because of a classic playing-guitar-while-jumping-out-of-the-water photoshoot, and because it was the cheapest guitar he could find at the time. Since purchasing it, Steve has used the instrument in a number of guitar based experiments, such as playing a guitar underwater, and dressing up in tin foil like a maniac to find the source of a weird signal his gear was picking up.
