Because his guitar has 3 pick-ups, some people mistake Stuart Braithwaite's guitar with the Fender Nashville. Actually, in this You Tube video we can see it's a US made Telecaster with a serial number starting by E3(...), meaning it's from 1983 to 1985. This is congruent with John Cummings' comment in the same video, saying Stuart got is "when he was 10 y.o, that is in 1986. This serial number and John's comment exclude this guitar can be a Teleplus Plus V2 (made as from 1995) or a Nashville (made from 2000). In a 2021 article of Guitar.com, it's mentioned that his "main guitar was a blue 1990s American Standard retrofitted with a Seymour Duncan pickup".

Reply from another user: The serial number in the video you posted actually reads e810256. That makes it a 1988 telecaster. It also reads made in USA. If you google U.S. telecaster gunmetal blue you will see the actual model/color he uses. No such color existed on a U.S. telecaster in 1983. It’s a rare color that was only on U.S. telecasters in the late 80’s-early 90’s. As for the quote of him saying he got it in 1986 he must be misremembering.
