Sufjan Stevens' Keyboards and Synthesizers
Instead of the “strummy-strum” his fans may expect, “The Age of Adz” is built around synthesizers, in particular the Prophet ’08. Though it’s a new model, it sounds retro, “like the ’70s and ’80s kind of synth sound,” Mr. Stevens said, “anachronistic and idiomatic and weird.”
