His signature models (Synyster Gates Custom-S models) come with a sustainiac built into the guitar. It can be seen in the neck position. At 0:51 in this video, Synyster Gates talks about his signature model Invader pickups from Seymour Duncan. “Seymour Duncans. The Invader. I think this is absolutely rad. These are very, very high gain. And so we were talking about legato and picking and I’m a picker by nature. I really suck at legato, and this kind of fools everybody, these pickups. They really really help with this kind of stuff. That and the C3. So, yeah. Kudos Seymour Duncan. These guys are rad. Rad, rad pickups.”
