B'z was celebrating their 30th anniversary and took the opportunity to ask their fans on social media if anyone might have an idea of the status of Tak Matsumoto's pink Ernie Ball MUSICMAN EVH that has been missing for for over twenty years. Shortly there after the EVH was found & returned to tak. The EVH was last used on Mienai Chikara (The Invisible One).

Tak Matsumoto is associated with the Epiphone TAK MATSUMOTO Double Cutaway Standard Goldtop, as detailed in the Chorder.com review. This electric guitar features a solid mahogany body with a carved top and black binding. It includes a Tune-o-matic bridge paired with a stoptail bar, chrome-plated tuners, and open-coil Burstbucker pickups. The mahogany neck has a rounded D contour, and the rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 22 frets.

Gibson Flying V Korina 50th Anniversary 2008. Limited run of only 100 in 2008. Based off the picture within the link a backplate seems to have been added which may be due to some sort of modification? The FAT logo can be seen on the bottom right corner of the backplate.

Tak Matsumoto is associated with the Gibson Custom Shop Firebird, a limited edition guitar available in Tobacco and Charcoal finishes, as noted by Guitar Planet on Rakuten. There is also mention of a rare Aquamarine Burst version, though its existence is uncertain.

The Tak Matsumoto DC Custom follow’s Tak’s preferred offset double-cutaway take on the hallowed Les Paul, and dresses up the package in the elegant Custom attire as conceived by Les Paul and Ted McCarty in 1954, with a hand-sprayed, high-gloss nitrocellulose finish in Ebony with traditional Custom appointments such as mother-of-pearl block fingerboard inlays, multi-ply body binding, gold hardware and mother-of-pearl split-diamond headstock logo. Add Tak's preferred profile, measuring .845" at the 1st fret and .945" at the 12th, a lusciously dark Richlite® fingerboard, and a Burstbucker #2 and #3 pickups in the neck and bridge.
