Trey Anastasio

Trey Anastasio has been using this amp since he bought it in the mid-80s, in part because he believes "being familiar with your gear is more important than having really good gear," he said in this video at (4:10).

Trey Anastasio uses a Fender '65 Deluxe Reverb, as documented by Scott Harris on Strangedesign. The amp features a modified design with a 12AT7 tube replacing the standard 12AX7, and the "Vibrato" circuit has been reconfigured into a "midrange boost" with an additional pot and knob installed on the front panel. Additionally, the stock Utah 12" speaker has been swapped for a Celestion Blue Alnico 12".

In a video of Trey Anastasio performing "Petrichor" with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl on September 26, 2014, he is seen using the Swart ST-6V6se Space Tone Tube Amplifier.

Trey Anastasio is confirmed to have used the Trainwreck Circuits Express amplifiers, as documented by Ryan Chiachiere in the article "Trey’s New Trainwreck: The Special Guest Amps Revealed" on Trey's Guitar Rig. The article reports that Trey has utilized four different Trainwreck Express amps on loan, in addition to his own personal Trainwreck amplifier in the past.
