Tsunematsu Matsui uses a Fender Precision Bass, as evidenced by its appearance in a video at the 1:31 mark, where it is identified as his main bass guitar. Matsui was encouraged by Tetsuro Oda with the quote, "If you are a professional, you should own a Fender bass." Initially a "Candy Apple Red" color, Matsui was inspired by Paul Simonon of The Clash to strip the paint and repaint it white, adding blue, yellow, and red splatters. This particular model, produced by Fender from approximately 1980 to 1983, features unique characteristics such as three control knobs (one for boosting or cutting treble bass), an active circuit, a 9V battery compartment, and gold metal parts. It also includes a mini-switch for toggling between active and passive circuits. Matsui used this bass live from the "Tetsuro Oda & 9th Image" era through various tours, including the "BOØWY'S BE AMBITIOUS TOUR" in 1985 and "LAST GIGS" in 1988.
