Gear 37

An affordable distortion pedal that basically does what it does but does it well. Very straightforward "hard rock" sound. I love plugging this in with a simple setup: Gibson SG, pedal, amp...then go to town.
Pros: Good for home use - good pedal platform - clean sounds are great, especially stereo sound with chorus. Can make the amp sound bigger than it is - good choice of inputs/ outputs Cons: Smaller speakers don't provide enough bottom end for some sounds. Even with bass EQ turned all the way up it is noticeable
I obtained this through a gear trade. It's pretty straight forward as far as the controls go and gets plenty loud. I use it along with my vox mini 3g2 for my practice setup outside of my home studio (ie. I can move it around the house). Where this thing really shines IMO is in the overdrive. I knew after I tried the overdrive that I'd be keeping this one. I feel like it's a solid overdrive option for my playing & recording.
