unmatched warmth
picks up range of frequencies comparable to the sound profile of a neumann. almost indistinguishable

it picks them up differently though, trust me.... want closer to a neumannor AKG in the lows try the silver on, the 4047, with the transformer in it. Has the bass response... although I find the AT40s to have a more open and modern upper mid then any german mic and that's a good thing.

great looking little thing

never any problems
the blue is cool, the cable feels solid. i also prefer right-angle cable jacks so that is a plus

magic tones
too good sounding, too good looking. i'm in a constant battle to fix both of these problems with it

the only con is also a pro: way too loud!
do not take this with a grain of salt, this thing moves air.

great boost
just what was needed to get a little more tone during solos. adds clarity to the upper mid range and greatly increases volume/preamp breakup

wonderful tones, but not as intense as hoped
works well for everything i've used it for, however it leaves something to be desired in terms of extremes. chorus effect lacks depth and variance in speed
