This is my first pedalcompressor, and i like the sound I get from it. Only drawback is that the knobs are so easy to rotate that I might accidentally change my parameters with my guitarcable for instance. Dont know if this applies for all MXR pedals but i like them being firm as on BOSS pedals.

Logic is first of all stable and it bundles up with alot of synths and effects/plug-ins. I would say that the price for Logic is crazy good for a DAW with all the bundled components. To me, Logic is a combination of a DAW and a music composing software combined, which is perfect for any home studio where you have to spend your money carefully. I used to have Pro-tools at home, but it was hard to get working properly (on windows at that time), and my creativity was not at its peak due to a somewhat limited selection of softsynths and other musicmaking plugins. I made a switch to Logic, and started composing right away. As a pure DAW would say that it really doesnt matter what you choose, but if you want to compose, you need a DAW which has some composing-tools, synths and stuff like that unless you have been already own third-party synths and plugins. I personally get very inspired when I hear drumbeats. Logics integrated Drummer is easily my goto plugin for composing rock music.
