Not a real Texan
I was so excited when I thought I bought a Texan. Then I end up with a Japanese knockoff. It's a great guitar but it's not what I was expecting.

Great Harps for being plastic
If only Hohner would have spent a little extra money on a metal case, these would be perfect! Not a toy! Real harps, just lightweight and plastic. Good blues sound.

Well Made and Sounds Great
These are built well and sound really good for the price. I got them as an Amazon warehouse deal for $30 and they're worth every penny.

The Power to Annoy for Under $10
This is not a Speco but you can still yell at your fans, sing like Scott Weiland or just annoy random people for your personal amusement.

Fun addition!!
I've never played slide before but this slide was surprisingly easy to use and made some of the coolest sounds! I took 1 star off because I couldn't get the slide but maybe halfway on because I have wide fingers.

Surprising Addition
I found this gem at a pawn shop for $20. I was reluctant to buy it because it was made in Taiwan but I'm glad I bought it. When I turn the settings all the way up and play "Come As You Are" it sounds perfect. Like playing the guitar under water. Awesome!

Does the job, great design, really long!
Whether you play with the guitar riding high or below the belt, these straps are adjustable and comfortable. Mine came in a blood splatter design to match my bloody axe.

Good guitar for the price.
I got this guitar in a starter pack. I'm going to Frankenstein it and change out everything but the body and neck. Why? I love the feel of this Strat copy with a 24" neck with 21 frets and a 7.5" radius with a C-Shaped head. I'll be posting pictures and updating over time. In the end I'll have an original guitar no one will be able to replicate.

The Cheapest Name Brand Mic
This is the cheapest microphone! It is almost a toy. But, it is a functioning microphone if you only have $5. These are the microphones artist autograph for their fans.

Great for the price!
I always wanted a Yamaha Motif and ended up getting this which is close but no cigar. It doesn't have the pattern loop function and computer interface I want but could still be used with a DAW or DAT.
UPDATE:
**SOLD AUGUST 23, 2016** $325

MY FIRST INSTRUMENT
I received a red 5 piece Pearl Export Series drum set with Sabian Ride, Crash and Hi-Hat cymbals for either my 9th birthday or Christmas (1989). I still have and play this very drum set today.

MY FIRST DAW
I was first introduced to Cool Edit Pro back in 2006 and fell in love with the quality and simplicity. I recorded a few rap albums using CEP back in the day and still have a copy which I still use on both my studio computer and laptop. Great for beginners and good enough for me.

wow, I remember cool edit as freeware around the turn of the millennium....

Still free and still works great! I don't care for the way Adobe changed it when it became Audition. Also, this isn't my only DAW it's just my favorite. Thanks for commenting!

PORTABLE STUDIO
I bought this used from a DJ who just upgraded systems and this was his main studio workspace. I received this loaded with lots of top notch software and this laptop runs everything with ease. You can get them used pretty cheap. Great for beginners or people who like to travel with their studio.

CLEAN DYNAMIC VOCALS - STUDIO QUALITY AT A GREAT PRICE
This microphone by Rode is a fierce competitor in the studio when it comes to quality. When you can't afford a Sony C800, a Nuemann, a Telefunken or a Sennheiser... this is your best choice. This mic was built with professionalism in mind with its large-diaphragm tube condenser, handling growling lows and glass shattering highs. The only downside is that it's so sensitive you can hear a fly fart. Make sure to record in a soundproof space and you won't be disappointed!
