Stephen: 'Now I record everything dry and use Valhalla as and when it's needed.'

Stephen: 'If we don't have time to use one of our hardware synths or the modular for a bass sound, we've started turning to the Full Bucket. It's fairly complex and does some unexpected, erratic things - but that's great!'
Stephen: 'I wish there were more plug-ins like this. We've been using it across the master channel on some of our more experimental bits of music. Sometimes, when you're working in the digital realm, things sound too clean and normal. This plugin will fix all that! You can hear it on U O K and Downturn on the new album. Bonus points for not labelling their knobs!'
'A couple of years back, I sampled a lot of drum machines from different friends' drum machines and put all the individual drum hits in here. We also use Battery for our live set, going through Ableton Live.'
In the November 2019 issue of Computer Music magazine, Stephen Hindman discusses using the SoundToys Little PrimalTap plugin to achieve "Cabaret Voltaire vibes" with fast delay times on drums and vocals.
'When we need to overdrive something, Devil Loc is generally the right plug-in.'
Stephen: We ended up filming and editing our own videos and doing all our own artwork. When I'm not making music, I'm mostly designing album covers in Photoshop or Illustrator or making visuals/videos in Premiere or After Effects.'
