Sounds great

Through a good amp, that is. through my little fender amp, it sounds... decent.

pretty bad

the inability to scoop the mids really ruins it, also typical solid state tone

Not great out of box

Right out of the box the frets were kind of sharp, but not too hard to fix that. Rarely have tuning problems.
