Nice practice amp

First off, I'm a solo musician, still fairly novice. It's a good amp for practicing and beginners, you can get some nice sounds on it but you'll probably outgrow it fairly quick. It's very sturdy (I have it sitting precariously on another amp and it's fallen off a lot — still works perfectly fine!) and works great. Had it for a couple years. Nothing particularly bad about it, but you're likely not going to get your signature sound on it. Sounds great when you crank up the gain!

Good for: beginners, practicing

Not for: pro anything, especially recording

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Cranking the gain, treble and bass up to 10 while keeping the volume at 2 sounds great while keeping it quiet!

Good for pedals if you know what you're doing

Don't expect this thing to hold up well against a Marshall full stack or anything, but it really isn't as bad as people say it is. Sure, the overdrive channel sounds horrible by itself, but it's usable if stacked with a pedal and with the treble cut down. The clean channel will make a horrible little distorted sound if you hit the input too hard; this isn't an issue with distortion pedals running, but you'll need lower output pickups if you're going straight in to prevent that crackle.

It can get loud, too- I rarely crank the volume above 2-3 at home and it's still a comfortable 75-80db, which is the recommended upper limit to avoid hearing loss. You could do small gigs with this if you wanted to.

Great amp

Good for practicing AND performing. My band and I went on a small tour of Iowa and we used this amp as our lead guitar amp. We used a microphone to capture the sound of the amp and sent it to a subwoofer. Great clean tone and great high gain overdriven sound.

Definitely recommend for beginners

Pretty good tones for a smaller amp. This amp is not for metal, btw. But, any other genres of music it should be more than enough if you're just starting out. Has decent built-in overdrive but if you want a thicker sound you will need a distortion pedal.

Makes a decent, beginner’s bedroom practice amp, but don’t expect too much from it. It has a decent clean tone. The overdrive can give a passable distorted crunch sound, but not too great. Mostly it has a muddy sound, but that’s to be expected from such a small speaker.
