funky

need to strum fast? buy this. thats it. thats absolutely all i could say.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

try putting your fingers near the tip to make it less flimsy

good at what it does

if you want a DD8 without the bells and whistles and just want it to delay then this is it. its pretty classic and a bit limited but it does what it has to really well

thecloud9th

basic and outdated

its not bad, i just think its not worth that much money plus its pretty old. way better options there, good clones too.

thecloud9th

old reliable

the norm, it works well for almost anything to be honest, this is a go-to for when i play heavier stuff

thecloud9th

cheap, reliable and simple

it does what you need it to do. it works 99% of the time but i think when it messes me up by making me press twice that its due to my amp and not it.

thecloud9th

good sound, stupid controls

no time control was the first thing that threw me off. the settings are nice but man its really hard to dial in what you want. its unique, landscape-y but seriously i wish i bought a boss DD-8 or something else instead. its not "bad", just really annoying. it's just not for me and i will sell it and buy another. please just make sure you can use the controls right before buying it so just try it out

Sturdy, quality and simple, but insanely big

please only get this if you are 100% sure that you will use it whole. i have too little pedals and i thought it wasnt THAT big and i cant afford to fill this whole pedalboard LMAO. i advise using "Pedalplayground" on google to plan your chain out so you dont end up hauling this GIGANTIC pedalboard everywhere..

a classic les paul.. whether you like it or not.

it does what it needs to do, it has two beefy actually pretty good stock pickups which i didn't find a need for changing. of course, since its a les paul, i hate how heavy it is and the tuning (in)stability. like, i have grover tuners and they're supposed to be good but the stupid nut and the way the strings go into the tuners makes the tuning slip (its not straight like on PRS Custom and Fender strats). The switch and pots work pretty good. If you need more versatility and stability id say go for a PRS Custom SE instead, it has the same pickup configuration plus a more "fun" bridge and coil tapping. its just the more "modern" version of this thing that i believe should sadly be left in the past. newer les paul models are also worth considering because of the weight relief and such stuff if you REALLY want a les paul.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

try rolling volume a bit to remove natural distortion

surprisingly solid

i ordered these because i didnt know which patches to get and i needed some cheap pack of a few so i found this and theyre serving me well. not so flexible but as far as i know they work pretty good and i don't notice noise or volume leaking.

thecloud9th

its small, cheap and simple

it doesnt have any bells and whistles and just has 9v outs but its pretty good. i dont hear any noise and daisy chaining analog pedals doesnt make an issue for me. it could be a problem for people who plan on adding more pedals and maybe the cable being too short.

thecloud9th

overlooked because everyone sees ce-2w and ce-5.

i cant really rate this properly because mine is an analog version and not digital. its a pink label from 1998 that i bought for a steal. besides the sweet deal that influences my love for this pedal, it sounds pretty neat. it has that original chorus DNA but it works really well with humbuckers for me.

thecloud9th

flat dull and pretty boring

it just doesnt sound interesting to me. however it makes a solid overdrive at low drive (gain) so its not THAT bad and its pretty cheap.

thecloud9th

insane for the price, genuinely, i wouldnt lie about this

dude.. when i tell you, this is literally an ts808 in a mcdonalds toy package. it literally (to me) sounds exactly what an ts808 sounds like. and everyone says the issue is the case but i dont mind it because its actually good plastic and wont break unless you are one of those guys that just jump on their pedals. i never saw a need to get another tube screamer and ive been using this for quite some time, its literally THE japanese green pedal that has THE mid hump (except in plastic i guess lol)

Preferred Settings + Usage:

The tone knob is a bass/treble potentiometer and since i use a les paul at the moment i always put it on about 1 o clock for a more cutting edge tone, i dont recommend using the drive pot over 11 o clock because its an overdrive and sounds a bit stupid when pushed THAT much and should be used to boost your stuff a little and if you need more gain use a dist pedal or an amp channel.

small, bright and reliable

its cheap, small, and does the job well, its very accurate and it mutes the signal fully when used (as expected of course). its really easy to see when the lights are flashing (i had issues with not being able to see my tuner on stage because my vision is horrible and i hate bright lights despite having to play gigs with them being brighter than las vegas jeez..) on your concert and/or its dark or bright outside. it has some other modes but i dont really use those so just use the basic mode and you can kick it around for ages and it will still be great.

okay at best

basic and boring, many better options i guess. if i bought a wah now id go for the vox v847a instead

useful to try pedals and stuff but..

it just sounds too digital too me, it doesnt have any personality and sounds like if you plugged your guitar into a programmed speaker (i mean that IS what it IS). it just sounds sterile, the program can be a bit clanky and outdated and if you really want pedals and amp sims use an interface with a program instead of an amp that is a mediocre multitool which doesnt excel at anything.. no warmth, no personality.
