Compact, Accurate and Reliable
I used the Korg Pitchblack Mini for a long time and was genuinely happy. Even with a bass guitar, it tracked quickly and consistently. The screen is bright enough to be easily readable, even in direct sunlight, which is a huge plus for live use.
The only real criticism I have is about the battery compartment latch. Opening it can sometimes be a bit of a struggle, and because it’s made of thin plastic, it feels fragile and prone to breaking. However, very few people use batteries in their pedals anymore, so I’m not sure it’s fair to count that as a downside. Still, if you plan to use it with a battery, it’s something to keep in mind.

small, bright and reliable
its cheap, small, and does the job well, its very accurate and it mutes the signal fully when used (as expected of course). its really easy to see when the lights are flashing (i had issues with not being able to see my tuner on stage because my vision is horrible and i hate bright lights despite having to play gigs with them being brighter than las vegas jeez..) on your concert and/or its dark or bright outside. it has some other modes but i dont really use those so just use the basic mode and you can kick it around for ages and it will still be great.

Love it
Compact, yet mighty, this tuner is running with me for a bit more than 2 years. Easy to read no matter the stage or room and I'd say it is incredibly accurate (as with Korg in general).
It tucks neatly into my pedalboard as the entry-point as well, since is tiny it leaves room for more fun stuff. I notice 0 signal interference when it's not in use (hence, true bypass).
Only 2 half-downsides are: 1. that to tune the big 5th string on the bass you gotta hit it a few times. 2. Batteries doesn't work that great, you gotta plug it in.
Anyway, the Pitchblack Mini keeps my bass sounding good. If I'd exchange it, would be for the X version with buffering. 🎸🤘

Decent tuner, but noise interference issues
This is a compact tuner with bright, readable display and solid functionality (including strobe and ultra-precision tuning), but there was a problem with noise interference with my setup (a faint chirping sound) that didn't go away no matter what power supply I used. As I didn't want to run it on batteries, I got a PolyTune instead, which had no noise issues.

good but could be better.
I got this as an alternative to a traditional sized tuner to free up space. the soft touch switch is good and its accurate during tuning. a few different modes to suit tastes too. one gripe is the size of the battery compartment door. as I ran out of power outlets on my brick I use this on battery power and because the door is so big you are limited to the amount of Velcro you can put on the bottom of this. all my other pedals are screwed down using the bike chain method but that isn't possible with this either.

it is a great pedal but I recommend the cheaper tuners

hi tomhiss, I got this at PMT in Manchester England for £47 as they price matched online, at this price I think this is really competitive . I tried some cheaper alternatives when I first started playing but they didn't seem as responsive or as easy to see.

its a VERY affordable pedal tuner, my pitchblack I had ran me less than the TU2 that preceded it and the Polytune that followed it. What the heck?! and it was great value for dollar... I do really like the polytune though.

Fragile, short life long, not recommend
I bought a new one, but is lasted few months, and now is off forever...
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Not recommended, very fragile

It's tiny!
…but the screen's really visible, it's light and super portable - and most importantly, it's very accurate! If you don't want to stretch to a Polytune or just want a great, adjustable chromatic tuner it's perfect.

in a detailed episode on Cris Escolano's YouTube channel titled "GIG RIG - Rayray Marasigan of Sandwich," filmed in January of the previous year, Raimund Marasigan is confirmed to use a Gibson Les Paul Junior Billie Joe Armstrong Signature guitar among his musical arsenal. During this impromptu gig rig showcase, not only was the Gibson Les Paul Junior prominently featured, but Marasigan's comprehensive pedal board setup was also displayed, consisting of an array of effects including Polytune 3, Mooer Soul Shiver, Caroline Olympia Shigeharu, Durham Electronics Booster, JHS lucky cat, EHX Oceans 11, and DSM Humboldt Simplifier and ZT Amp. Marasigan elaborated that although his primary role has transitioned to mainly vocals, this specific rig is employed when he plays guitar. Additionally, he provided insights into his previous pedal board configuration, which comprised a Korg tuner, Box of Rock, Boss DD20, Digitech Whammy, Dwarfcraft Devices Shiva, and Boss TR2. This episode serves as concrete evidence of Marasigan's gear preferences and usage.
