Tom Versal

Though this is a signature guitar, it is still one I find myself wanting to use of releases, in rehearsals and even live playing. The tone of this guitar is beautiful; sharp and aggressive whilst also being able to provide a relaxing warm sound too. Very easy to play, looks a bit cheesy for me since my band isn't a thrash metal band but still a brilliant guitar.

For me, this guitar is perfect. It has sentimental value for me due to my grandad buying me it - I was torn between this and a few others but it had to be the Gretsch. This guitar provides a mass of in your face power, you can't really get a metal tone out of this (without pedals) so this is a full on Rock And Roll guitar. The biggest pain for me is the Bigsby Trem being fiddly to restring, however the sound and feel of this make it worth it, the best guitar I own.

Okay so I don't really own many amps, they're all budget ones other than this, but even if that wasn't the case I am sure this would still be my favourite. The MG50CFX provides a lot of volume (being 50 Watts) and quite a lot of settings for you to alter your tone with! You have 4 channels (Clean, Crunch, Overdrive and Overdrive 2), your typical amp EQ settings and then you have the great digital reveb, built in Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Vibe and Octave effects, several Delay settings and the ability to dampen and even store your setting. It also comes with a Switch Pedal so you can change channels live. This is a brilliant amp, perfect for practically any genre I've played with it.

The MXR Phase 90 is one of those classic pedals that a lot of musicians own, it has a very iconic sound. As a primarily Punk Rock guitarist though this pedal can be tricky to get the grasp of, not necessarily the controls since it only has the one knob but more so just trying to get it to sound pleasant in conjuntion with the other pedals - but if you are more of a Psychedelic or Funk player then this pedal would be perfect! And trust me, the phase here is incredible, just very strong.

I have modded this guitar to have an Aluminium neck since I am a massive fan of Keith Levene and I wanted an aluminium neck guitar like how he used back in the PiL days. This guitar has a very twangy and treble-y tone to it, for a budget beginners guitar, it is great, I've heard it is better than Squire so if you are looking for a starting guitar then don't hesitate to pick this up! As for my version with the aluminium neck, the intonation is off, the scale length is a fret short and I needed a string restrainer to even tune it, but I still love this guitar and it's my most unique guitar since I had built it. I have Billy Gibbons' Signature .7s on here and the sound super Shrill and just what I wanted out of this. I need to get it set up better but overall a very good guitar.

Not many people seem to have this guitar, I couldn't find it anywhere. What I will say about this guitar is that it is very light and isn't full scale but somehow provides a great sound. I love the shrill tones you can get from this guita, it's fun to shred with too surprisingly. Quite a good guitar for a beginners one, still I won't give it 5 Stars since the G String often goes out of tune - could be an issue with mine though.

This guitar has an extremely muddy sound from my experience and I just love that. I usually hate it but when you put a fuzz pedal on this guitar then it can be noise central! I think this guitar is underrated - perfect for Post-Punk or Gothic Rock music.
