Excellent value

Massive top, bone nut, quite good Fishman pre-amp. Certainly, like all guitars with a cutaway, it doesn't sound very loud and it lacks a bit of midrange. But it's honestly an excellent guitar for less than €600, in 2023, it's hard to do better.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

On the pre-amp, I like to boost a bit the trebbles.

The Gibson Resurrection

After years when quality was no longer Gibson's priority, these new Standard 50's series seems to demonstrate that the old company has understood that it is going straight into the wall if it does not correct its mistakes. I bought mine (brand new) in March 2022 and I’d been able to try 6 of them (all in Tobacco Burst finish), boxes were opened in front of me. Well the 6 were perfectly finished, of high quality and all sounded great! My choice was therefore purely aesthetic to have a body in one piece and a table as less flamed as possible (I find it hideous tables that are too flamed in TB). So I've had this LP for over a year and I still love it so much, it's a real gem!

Just the good LP Special

With this "vintage series" (Made In Japan) from 2010-2012, Tokai had then succeeded in what Gibson no longer did: a truly beautiful and good LP Special!

It has a Tune-O-Matic and tailpiece and rotomatic type pegs for easy handling and pitch correction. The body is made of wildly grained mahogany, with a dark rosewood fingerboard and a strong 50's style mahogany neck with a firm and comfortable grip for a crisp sound. Tokai's original "LP-OLD" pickups are installed. The vintage-like sound of the LP-OLD pickups has been reproduced with a good sound that can be used for both lead and backing.

Vintage all the way

I had missed the first series of "American Vintage" and I'm really happy to finally be able to try a Tele 52 .. sorry a Tele 51 :) Because it's exactly the same as the 52 released there, almost 10 years.

I find it just perfect in what it wants to do: a reissue of Fender's first guitar.
The neck is a trunk, the pickups twang sooo good, the nitro finish is thin and the guitar is quite light.
Frankly, such a success!

The perfect friend for small home.

It's been a month since it entered the living room of my small Parisian apartment and it has already the first choise in my house set.
It’s sounds round and warm, it sounds very well, with 2 channels and a loop channel. The clean chan’ and the reverb sound very correct.
And it’s coming with a real footswitch .. honestly, it's really a great solution for a small apartment or a beginner's room.

Good enough.

Frankly, I knew absolutely nothing about ukulele before buying this Mini Tele, but the first sensations are nice (I learned all the basic 7 chords and it’s enough to sounds good), the quality seems very good, it holds the tuning very well, there is a very effective integrated Fender tuner and came out on my little tube amp 5W ... it's not yucky at all!

Added to that the beautiful aesthetic tribute to the legendary Tele 52 Butterscotch, a well cheap prize and I find the result very convincing.

Simple and efficient ... Real Orange!

This is something really personal, but I love the TH30's simplistic controls. For someone who likes simple and user friendly as possible things and just want great tone straight out of the box, this amp is just perfect. Its price was a little on the high side too but this is a great sounding, well made (mine just turned 10 last month, and he's still screaming like a young man) with a Class A valve/tube amp.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

For me, it's when I plug in a vintage guitar with humbuckers (my old LP) that this amp unleashes all its character: good old old-fashioned crunchy rock!

Confortable neck ... and that's all!

Difficult to judge this guitar because the opinion depends on the use .. This guitar sounds extremely bad, it's not a real acoustic anyway.

Only its neck (similar to a low-end electric MIM Fender) is very comfortable enough, otherwise it's really not that great overall.

Great Short Scale Bass !

Exceptional quality / price ratio!

Nice sound, nice shape, good manufacturing ... and short scale ! The perfect choice for guitarists who want a bass for their home studio.

Excellent as Gibson once knew how to do ...

Exceptional!

The lutherie of Les Paul of this era is really excellent, with a fat neck (50's shape) providing a vintage style. Very comfortable handle, its sounds very warm and round with the original pickups. One of the best LP I have ever had in my hands.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Personally, I recently replaced the original pickups with Seymour Duncan APH-2S BK Slash Alnico II Pro and the traditional tuners had been replaced 20 years ago by modern tuners.

Great Mid Range Guitar

Sigma is no longer to present: it is a brand with an excellent quality / price ratio; and that's exactly why this DR-41 deserves my 5 stars!

Very good sound, good resonance and good vibrations felt during the play, a very comfortable neck, quite incredible finishes for a guitar well under 1000 dollars .. in fact, I really do not find minus with this guitar, especially with this price.

Bonus : The presence of the old logo on the headstock is not only prettier (I hate the new logo), but also a good reminder of the origin of the brand (created by C.F. Martin).

Great guitar ... who needs some adjustment.

Excellent violin, great pickups, super comfortable neck (soft V) ... really happiness to play and hear.

Just a shame not to have a bone nut and a neck reversal right out of the box ... for a guitar at this price, it's unfortunate

Also, but this is a very personal opinion, I hate the fashion for "relic" guitars, so the choice of cream-colored for knobs and pickups covers ... I find it very ugly! So I quickly changed all of that for the same white as the pickguard.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Like a lot of guitarists, I especially love positions 1 and 4 of these famous Strat pickups!

The perfect "big riff machine"

This guitar is first of all extremely well finished, of a very good quality of manufacture (Indonesia can therefore also work very well now). It is fairly well balanced (leans very slightly towards the head) and the D neck with a small radius makes it very comfortable and suitable for speed and precision. The microphones when they are very well balanced in output level and also quite close in sound level; however, the Dimarzio Fortitude (Duplantier signature) remains logically much sharper than the PAF (neck position). Anyway, these are really excellent microphones for "big, heavy sound" and which are perfectly complementary.

In conclusion it would be far too obvious to say that this Charvel is perfect for playing Gojira, and above all far too restrictive, because in fact it's a very versatile guitar ... for all kind of rock music. :)

Preferred Settings + Usage:

My favorite settings is the bridge pickup directly plugged into my DAW with the official Archetype Gojira VST.

The best value for money !

Already known to have turned the world of bass guitar upside down with her signature Marcus Miller; Sire, associated this time with Larry Carlton, propose with this S7 a Super Strat of excellent quality in all specs: a thin neck amazingly comfortable, electronics and microphones of excellent quality and all that for only $ 500!

Preferred Settings + Usage:

Even if the two single coil pickups are fine, my interest in this S7 is to have a Super Strat! So I mainly stay on the humbucker associated with sounds ranging from big crunch to heavy saturation.

As good as the price ...

For 79 € (94 US$), you can't expect a luxury guitar ... However the quality of the body and the neck is very correct. You just have to trim the head yourself (I personally chose the classic Telecaster shape). Everything else (microphone, wiring, tunings, strings etc ..) is to be thrown directly in the trash.

Great guitar with a great look and sound !

A super comfortable neck. A great 70's look! Sounds very ... Fender Mustang : pretty bright, and Jangly! However the output level is not huge and it can quickly sizzle, but this is not a guitar made for metal of course. Fans of surf music, or grunge rock would love it!

warhol

Amazing guitar !

Simply perfect ! Ultra thin neck; super comfort. The legendary sound of the Telecaster in a clean, modern and classy (with the binding) finish!

Preferred Settings + Usage:

While I like the Tele's neck pickup more and more (with a TS9 crunched, I love it), my favorite setup is still the bridge pickup with my Orange (TH30C) amp in a slight crunch.
