like living room speakers but louder
My first pair of monitors .. Like comfortable slippers . I like them because they remind me of all the stereos and Hifi 's I cobbled together in my teens and early 20's ... Kraftwerk sound like they did to me way back then ha ha . So maybe not high end but very very nice to listen to :)
My 6 year old rockets developed a crackling on initial power up ... This would stop after about 30 Mts ... Hardly ideal ... However I found the most useful and easy fix .. Step by step and even I could do it ...
and !! relatively inexpensive

Why I like and hate these simultaneously
My ears are well shot what with working on construction sites and factories for most of my life .... These seem to give me a brutal , honest and clear glass mirror image / interpretation of what ever I am working on at the time
Preferred Settings + Usage:
In use with the bass cut ... I have the HS 8s to let me know what's going on down below ... Clean clear and much flatter than the rockets I used for years .

why I think these are essential
I always seem to start a bit of a riot when I mention these with the gear head nerds and those with more money than common sense ... Considering that at least probably half the world listen on these little , unique in my opinion , beasties.... I reckon if your stuff doesn't sound good on these then you really are not doing yourself any favours ... Iv bought expensive buds and esoteric rave review buds .. absolute bought and sold piffle ... These are unbeatable as a reference :) There IMHO Iv said it ha ha R :)

I check and compare mixes whilst walking my dog .... Perspective etc R :)
