Bass Guitars used by Alberto Torrado on De Hoy No Pasa
Fender Precision Bass (1970-1983)
Avg price: $699.00
At ST's first concert (December 27, 1981), he didn't have a bass guitar, so Pablo Novoa (Golpes Bajos) lent him a P-Bass. He liked it so much that he bought an identical one in a shop in Redondela, probably in January 1982, and recorded ST's first demo with it. He recorded "Ayudando A los Enfermos", "Cuando se come aquí", "El regreso", and "Menos mal que nos queda Portugal" with it. In 1985, he bought a Guild Jetstar and alternated between the two. It's unknown whether he used the P-Bass or the Guild Jetstar on "Bailaré sobre tu tumba" and "De hoy no pasa". It's likely that he recorded "Fai un sol de carallo" and "Musica domestica" with that bass.
It's a bass he started using in 1985, alternating it with the Precision Bass. It's unknown whether he recorded "Bailaré sobre tu tumba" and "de hoy no pasa" with this bass or with the Precision Bass, but it's known that he recorded "Me gusta como andas" with the Guild because a video recording from the studio exists. In 1985, in Os Resentidos, Alberto played guitar and Xabier Soto played Alberto's Guild Jet Star.
Guitars used by Miguel Costas on De Hoy No Pasa
Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty
Avg price: $5,483.68
Miguel has used that guitar ever since he saw an identical one in the studio during the sessions for "El Regreso." Julián and Pepo Fuentes got it for him in Madrid, and Miguel replaced the pickups with DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups. He used it from June 1985 until 1990, although it appears in the video for "El Hombre Medicina," recorded in 1993. He once lent it to Los Cafres, and they returned it broken, which is why he no longer has it. He recorded "Bailaré sobre tu tumba," "De hoy no pasa," "Me gusta como andas," and probably "En Beneficio de todos" with it, although he could have recorded the latter with the SG Special Red. He recorded the self-titled debut album for Aerolineas Federales, "Hop Hop," and "Tomando Tierra." The last time he is seen playing it is in a playback performance on the RockoPop program in 1990.
