Miguel Costas' Gear
Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty
Solid Body Electric GuitarsMiguel has used that guitar ever since he saw an identical one in the studio during the sessions for "El Regreso." Julián and Pepo Fuentes got it for him in Madrid, and Miguel replaced the pickups with DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups. He used it from June 1985 until 1990, although it appears in the video for "El Hombre Medicina," recorded in 1993. He once lent it to Los Cafres, and they returned it broken, which is why he no longer has it. He recorded "Bailaré sobre tu tumba," "De hoy no pasa," "Me gusta como andas," and probably "En Beneficio de todos" with it, although he could have recorded the latter with the SG Special Red. He recorded the self-titled debut album for Aerolineas Federales, "Hop Hop," and "Tomando Tierra." The last time he is seen playing it is in a playback performance on the RockoPop program in 1990.
