Great First Sequencer
Currently using this as a basic sequencer, but if you're looking for a powerful sequencer, the Beatstep pro would be better suited.

Great preamp if you can find it!
Found this in a pawnshop for 70. Sound quality and DI potential is amazing, works best for vocals and light synths (pads).

Great for Monitoring, Nothing else.
Need a ton of cheap pairs of headphones? Grab these, dime a dozen, and really predictable volume curve. No worries when monitoring in a podcast or live session, but for a studio set-up, get something nicer.

Great Live Mic For The Price
Great for a quick dirty recording session, especially in a live music setting. Perfect for getting gritty, raw vocals as well. I use this for my vocoder mic, and it works wonders. Recently switched to a 57, though.

Killer Synth with Plenty of Versatility
Perfect board for studio, and great as a live vocoder. My only gripe is that the inputs are on the top. I understand that as a desktop synth, that's the most convenient place for them, but really sucks for rack mounting.

Best for spoken words
I podcast, and this microphone has it all. If you want an amazing, low-maintenance microphone to use in a small vocal studio, this is the one to go with.

The most versatile monitors in the world.
I know this may be objectively untrue, but after having used these in 3 different homes, for studio mixing, active listening, and more, and even, one time, as a PA system in a pinch, these still are my favorite monitors to date. Eat it, Yamaha.

Tone of an angel, versatility of duct tape.
This is the only commercially available electric-acoustic harmonica out there. As such, it has absolutely nailed it. Loud enough to fill a street corner or small venue unamplified, but resistant-to-feedback enough to allow the wonkiest of pedals and effects through it.

Slick, but lacks nuance.
Summary says it all. It's a nice, higher-end guitar, but for the price, a fender jazz 5 will really do you better in the long run.

Great Practice and Busking Amp, never take this to a show.
If you are looking for an amp to jam with your friends, or take to a park and make some money, this workhorse digital amp is for you. If you are looking to bust some ear drums at a show that night, stick to something a bit more pricey, it is worth it.

Best Looper, but at what cost?
I've used this pedal almost every day for 4 years. It is a workhorse of a device with little-to-no limitations on length or number of layers. As a "starving artist", however, I must say that for the price, I expected a much more modular, high end board. This feels ripped out of the late 90's, with very little "ease-of-access" when it comes to modifying mappings. For this price, I should really have more control over what I can do on this board.

Great Freless tone for an affordable price.
This is the first pre-built fretless I have bought. If you are getting into Jaco or Steve Bailey and want to emulate their sounds, this isn't the bass for you, but it does offer a unique and stunning tone that allows for plenty of versatility.

Great for DJing, macros, and shortcuts.
This device is awesome for people who need concrete buttons. As a jazz and R&B producer and performer, this has limited use as a midi musical device for performing, especially since it lacks velocity. This is great for making shortcuts and macros to help with music production and mixing, though.
