Excellent synth
Very well built, excellent sound engine shared in several other later Korg synths. Downside: Like most from this era, not the most fun sequencer to program, but little has changed since in many other synths.

Quiet fat, quiet analog feeling!
Really fat and raw analog-like sounding... The only thing about cons which is polyphony and in this case it's just 4... Nothing about that, creamy filters. Ultra user-friendly interface, so not much menu diving. Just loving it!

it actually has a lot in common with the DW series using sampled waveforms over simulated oscillators, but its a digital filter and higher resolution D to A :-)

Killer Synth with Plenty of Versatility
Perfect board for studio, and great as a live vocoder. My only gripe is that the inputs are on the top. I understand that as a desktop synth, that's the most convenient place for them, but really sucks for rack mounting.

Great synth
While not the warmest VA synth it does have it's own sound. It can cut through a mix. Also the mod sequencers are insane.

Fond memories but overshadowed by modern software synths
I learned synthesis on this thing, so I've got a soft spot for it, but I never use it! Now I just use Logic's built in synths.

The MS2000r is used in conjunction with both the Roland System 1 AIRA and the Arturia BeatStep PRO to turn out both poly pads and drive wacky synthesis via it's digital wave table.
Trevor Gray, Apollo 440
"The Korg Legacy is so much fun!! We've owned the original Korg MS-20 since the 70's and used it with our Korg SQ-10 analogue sequencer on loads of records and remixes. Nothing quite sounds like it! We also love the MS2000R which has a smoother sound and MIDI-accurate sequencing possibilities. But the Legacy got us to dig out the old Patches we'd written over 20 years ago! The sounds we've put in the MS-20_Apollo440 Bank includes some of these, as well as brand new sounds and edits of library patches. That's the point with this great new piece of kit - you can get your hands dirty really easy! Edit ready-made programs or start from scratch. The controller feels just like the original and going back to patch cords was so cool! We hope you enjoy these sounds - and if you haven't got a Legacy then what are you waiting for - just get one!"
"My first piece of hardware! The Korg MS2000R #analogcity"
