Functionality

Essentially 99% the functionality of the CDJ 2000 Nexus + DJM 2000 Nexus

velocity pads

Affordable, velocity sensitive touch pads, all knobs programable, lightweight & USB no power source required.

austin_hennessey

Affordable

Not too expensive, does a good job, very portable & requires no power source

austin_hennessey

Customizable

Great VST to shape your own piano voices

Science

If you know the science you'll make good use of this otherwise the presets suck

austin_hennessey

Free

This one is free, got it mainly just to have some variety in my reverb plugins.

austin_hennessey

Customizeable

Great reverb, very customizable and presets are good.

Crazy distortion

Iz iiight I guess, really depends what synths or samples you use it with, has a wide range of strange distortion effects.

PRO

This EQ puts Apple's to shame in so many ways

austin_hennessey

Distort

When you turn the distortion down it has a similar effect to the Sausage Fattener

Glue Compressor

Great for all sorts of things, I like to use it mainly for drums, sidechaining, and the master channel.

Analog

Truly OG analog synthesizer, great for techno.

In Depth

One of the most in depth and professional sounding VSTs I've ever worked with, the wavetable editor takes it to a whole new level.

Customization

After getting the science of sound design down this became my go-to kick drum creator as opposed to using samples. Great for controlling pitch.

austin_hennessey

PLUCKS

Great for pluck synths, in house reverb & delay good also

austin_hennessey

Easy to understand

Have thousands of presets to play with and there are millions more out there so this one's a keeper.

Excellent

Tried Ableton, tried FL, I strongly prefer Logic.

Good, not enough sub bass

I've been using the Rokit 5's for over going on two years now, they are great except for the fact that their frequency response is limited to as low as ~50Hz.
