Very versatile wavetable synthesizer

This synth has basically become my main workhorse. My PC is able to run quite a few instances of Serum, and it's capable of making pretty much anything I want.

Amazing Piano

Great piano library, very expressive and realistic. It's interesting, it sounds kind of bad without velocity variation, but add that in and it really brings it to life.

Some nice transients

Mostly been using these for the transients, chopping those out and layering them with my own sub.

It works

I'm not particularly good at playing keyboard, but to simply make chords or figure out some intervals this is a very nice tool.

i love using it to strum guitar cords and keep the sustain going its so close in size to wanting to be a keytar lol now wheres that broomhandle 🤣

Great EQ

Parametric EQ 2 is a great EQ, the frequency bars approach can clearly show individual harmonics. I used to use this EQ for all of my EQing. It's also great for modulation when creating basses.

Smooth and lush reverb

This reverb has become one of my go-to reverbs. It sounds smooth and lush on pads and can be a great effect for fading things in and out with the wet fader.

Lots of control

Vocodex allows some great control over your vocoding. It can seem complicated at first, but it isn't too hard to learn. The one bad thing is the way the band distribution is displayed, very unintuitive.

Good comperssor

Excitement, stereo spread, waveshaping, limiting and expansion... Maximus can do it all! You can even draw your own compression curves, which is incredibly useful for sound design. I've kind of moved away from it though seeing as I mostly use Cubase now and have moved on from multiband compression in general.
