About
Fauxliage is an ambient pop collaboration that brings together Canadian musicians Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber of Delerium, and American vocalist Leigh Nash of Sixpence None the Richer. With their origins rooted in a successful collaboration between Delerium and Nash on tracks like "Innocente" and "Run for It," the trio officially formed as Fauxliage, releasing their self-titled debut album on Nettwerk Records. Their music blends elements of ambient, electronic, and pop, characterized by lush soundscapes and ethereal vocals. Fauxliage's sound is a testament to the seamless integration of Nash's emotive vocal delivery with the duo's intricate electronic production.
How to Sound Like Fauxliage
Fauxliage's sonic palette is defined by its lush, atmospheric soundscapes and dreamy, ethereal vocals. The production typically features smooth, expansive synth textures and delicate electronic beats that create a serene, contemplative atmosphere. Rhys Fulber's use of synthesizers such as the Kawai K4 and Clavia Nord Wave contributes to the rich, layered quality of their music. The incorporation of the Elektron Octatrack MKII adds depth and complexity to the rhythms, allowing for dynamic and evolving arrangements. Leigh Nash's vocals float gracefully over these textures, adding a poignant human element that enhances the group's emotive and immersive sound.
