Ever since I was 12 it's been a childhood fantasy to own/play a Gibson Les Paul supreme. When I was 18 I finally bought this model used for a little less than $1500 at local music store Uptown Music in Keizer OR. The previous owner had sanded the neck so mine has a natural wood neck finish. This axe has amazing cleans & beautiful rock/metal distortion. I use neck pickup volume very low for clean tone, then switch to bridge pickup with volume almost all the way up for distortion. It's built/designed similar to a violin. The back is arched like a violin. Great aesthetic but no back panel means you can't clean the insides though I've never needed to. Current tuning: Drop C.
King of the throne
I have to say there's nothing more beautiful and prestigious. Just about everything on this guitar is something of an acquired taste. Relatively difficult to find for this specific model. You get what you pay for with this Gibson. The playability, sounds and looks are all there
