HIM is a Finnish rock band renowned for their unique blend of gothic rock, metal, and alternative sounds, often referred to as "love metal." Formed in Helsinki in 1991, the group initially went by the name His Infernal Majesty. The band consists of Ville Valo (vocals), Mikko "Linde" Lindström (guitar), Mikko "Migé" Paananen (bass), Janne "Emerson Burton" Puurtinen (keyboards), and Jukka "Kosmo" Kröger (drums). Their music is characterized by romantic and dark themes, combining the melancholic atmosphere of gothic rock with the intensity and power of hard rock and metal.
