Model/Actriz is an experimental post-punk and noise rock band originating from the vibrant music scene of Brooklyn, New York. The group is comprised of Cole Haden (vocals), whose dynamic and often frenetic performance style captivates audiences, Jack Wetmore (guitar), who crafts the band's angular and discordant riffs, Ruben Radlauer (drums), providing propulsive and unrelenting rhythms, and Aaron Shapiro (bass), whose lines add depth and intensity to their sound. Their music is an audacious blend of post-punk, industrial rock, noise rock, and crank wave, drawing influences from the raw intensity of acts like The Birthday Party and the avant-garde sensibilities of Sonic Youth.

Model/Actriz’s sonic character is defined by its aggressive, visceral energy, blending chaotic guitar textures with relentless rhythmic drive. Their sound is often abrasive and industrial, with Wetmore’s use of effects pedals like the Electro-Harmonix POG2 Polyphonic Octave Generator and Boss DD-500 Digital Delay to create layers of dissonant, swirling soundscapes. This is complemented by the use of a Squier J Mascis Jazzmaster, which adds a jagged edge to their sonic palette. Shapiro’s bass lines, delivered through a Fender Geddy Lee Signature Jazz, serve as a gritty foundation that meshes seamlessly with Radlauer’s thunderous drumming.
