Description
The Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass sunburst is a premium instrument designed to meet the discerning standards of one of rock's most celebrated bassists. This electric bass guitar is a precise replica of Geddy Lee's own '72 Jazz Bass, offering a sonic experience that channels the spirit of classic rock. With its vintage aesthetics and modern-day warrior attitude, this instrument is an absolute delight for any bass enthusiast.
The Jazz Bass features a thin C-shape profile neck for enhanced playability, a preference of many rock bassists. The dual vintage Jazz Bass single-coils provide a robust sound, capturing the rich depths of low-end tones and the lively mid-range punch characteristic of the '70s Jazz Bass. The Leo Quan Badass II bridge adds to the instrument's tonal clarity and sustain, making it a versatile tool for various music genres.
The Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass sunburst also boasts a classic Fender look, with stylish black rectangle inlays and black binding on the maple fretboard. The chrome hardware and vintage-style headstock add to the overall vintage feel of the instrument, making it as much a visual treat as it is an aural one.

Custom signature bass
I bought this bass just because I was looking for a Jazz bass with a sunburst finish and maple neck. I loved the look of the Geddy bass because of the black pickguard and Fender hi-mass bridge made it look even beefier. Ended up putting a set of Seymour Duncan quarter pounder P/J pickups in it to make it even better for my pop punk band but also worked so well for playing jazz/funk.

At 5:30 you can see the defining aesthetic of the Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass sunburst model; sunburst body with black pickguard, maple fretboard with black block inlays and, while not entirely clear but certainly there (you may have to slow down the video) is the High-Mass Bridge.
Most importantly of all, 25:47 we can see both vintage style tuners and the Geddy Lee signature at the back of the headstock.
Aaron Shapiro uses this model of bass in two ways; muted, thumping bass plucks to simulate techno and electronic dance style bass and low, crush noise when mixed with his pedals.
