Aaron Shapiro

Aaron Shapiro can be seen using the Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass sunburst in a number of videos, including the video example above, and has been using this particular model of bass since joining the Model/Actriz in 2019.

At 5:30 you can see the defining aesthetic of the Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass sunburst model; sunburst body with black pickguard, maple fretboard with black block inlays and, while not entirely clear but certainly there (you may have to slow down the video) is the High-Mass Bridge.

Most importantly of all, 25:47 we can see both vintage style tuners and the Geddy Lee signature at the back of the headstock.

Aaron Shapiro uses this model of bass in two ways; muted, thumping bass plucks to simulate techno and electronic dance style bass and low, crush noise when mixed with his pedals.
