Passengers was an experimental music project formed in 1995, consisting of the members of U2 — Bono (vocals), The Edge (guitar), Adam Clayton (bass), and Larry Mullen Jr. (drums) — alongside renowned producer and musician Brian Eno. Known for their divergence from U2's mainstream rock sound, Passengers delved into ambient pop and experimental music, crafting an album that served as a tribute to film soundtracks, titled Original Soundtracks 1. This unique collaboration also featured operatic contributions from Luciano Pavarotti, amplifying the album's cinematic essence. Despite mixed reception, the project remains a fascinating exploration of genre-blending and artistic experimentation.
