The 101ers Members, Gear & Sound

The 101ers were a British band that played a pivotal role in the transition from the pub rock scene to punk rock in the mid-1970s. Formed in May 1974 by the legendary Joe Strummer (vocals, guitar), the group included Clive Timperley (guitar), Dan Kelleher (bass), and Richard Dudanski (drums). Known for their raw, energetic performances, The 101ers crafted a sound that combined elements of power pop, punk, and proto-punk, making them a significant force on the British pub rock circuit before the explosion of punk.
