The Desert Rose Band is a pioneering group in the country rock genre, formed in 1985 by Chris Hillman, a former member of the Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers. The band hails from Southern California and features a lineup of seasoned musicians: Herb Pedersen on banjo and guitar, John Jorgenson on guitar, Jay Dee Maness on steel guitar, Bill Bryson on bass, and Steve Duncan on drums. Known for their harmonious blend of rock, country rock, classic country, and country, the Desert Rose Band achieved significant success with hits like "He's Back and I'm Blue" and "I Still Believe in You."
