About
TRUSTcompany is an American alternative metal band hailing from Montgomery, Alabama, known for their fusion of melodic elements with guitar-driven metal. The group was formed in 1997 by Kevin Palmer (vocals, guitar) and Jason Singleton (drums), who were later joined by Josh Moates (bass) and James Fukai (guitar). Their music blends post-grunge, alternative metal, nu metal, and rap rock, drawing inspiration from influential acts like Pantera, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Deftones. TRUSTcompany gained attention with their debut album The Lonely Position of Neutral, which features the notable singles "Downfall" and "Running from Me."
How to Sound Like TRUSTcompany
TRUSTcompany's sound is characterized by its aggressive yet melodic guitar work, often achieved through the use of Gibson SG Standard guitars driven through a powerful Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier 2-Channel 150W Solo Head amp setup, providing a rich, overdriven tone. The band’s music is punctuated by dynamic, punchy drum patterns, courtesy of Tama Starclassic (Maple) kits, which deliver a crisp, resonant sound. To add depth and dimension, effects like the Boss DD-3 Digital Delay are employed, enhancing their layered compositions with rhythmic echoes that complement the band's intense yet accessible style.
