In this user-uploaded photo, James Hetfield is seen using a Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier Two Channel Head, identifiable by its distinctive black grill, during a live performance.
Tom used this amp paired with his JCM 900 on just about every album up until the Angels and Airwaves stuff. It was then that he switched over to Voxs and Fenders. In almost all of blink-182's live footage, you can see a triple rectifier and a JCM 900 paired together. It is also seen in thier music video for "Josie".
In this snippet from a January 2002 issue of Guitar Player, Daron Malakian describes how he uses a Triple Rectifier both in live performances and in the studio sessions for Toxicity (which also produced Steal This Album). Other sources show that it only has the same amount of knobs present on a 2-channel, confirming that it is a Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier 2-Channel 150W Solo Head.
